Bohemian Faire

It's time to share my January DT project for Amy Joy Studios

And - I have a video! Yep, found my tripod (actually, found THREE of them, LOL) So, I will see if I can get the vid to load directly here and not a link! =)

This cutie is approx 6" x 4". I've created 2 signatures hand sewn in using a pamphlet stitch. There are 13 papers, folded making 26 pages (52 front & back) per signature. So in total there are 104 pages for journaling goodness in this chunky little gal.

The spine is approx. 2.75". The cover is a semi soft cover. I have strip stitched fabric over fusible fleece and the ties have been triple stitched for security.

I made pockets on the front and back covers.

I have mixed coffee stained and color dyed papers together with digi kit sheets and simple digital images. I've added a lot of machine stitching and rubber stamping too.

I've used vintage and newer trims and fabrics.

There are "clippies" of all kinds too.

All of my ephemera is always stitched onto stained papers for journaling and admittedly, the crinkle sound =)

There are tuck spots, pockets and mini books for more journaling.

I used the Bohemian Faire digital kit.

Edited - forgot to add my dang video! lol

So, be sure to check out all the the Amy Joy Studios digi kits. You can also head to my Etsy shop, Suzie Q Gifts, where you can purchase this cute little journal, or other items I have listed.

Come play along with our new challenge ~

Hello again everyone, I have a little card to share with you on this day. It's on DT inspiration for the newest challenge at Kitty Bee Designs. It's time to make some food and drink projects. Yum!

I have used this adorable image from Sherrie Baldy My Besties for this food and drink challenge. Any type of project is good, as long as it is somehow related to our theme. I sure hope you will take some time to create a project that you can add to the challenge too!

The two sponsors for this challenge are:

You can win an amazing prize donated by our super sponsors!  Here's one more look at my DT inspiration project:

It must be love!

Love is in the air!

It's swap time over in Junk Journal Junkies #1 on Facebook. I am also happy to say that I can now do video flip thru's since most of my craft room has been unpacked and I have my tripods! =) But, I guess I'm still too new to figure out how to load the video directly to my blog post - so below you will see a link to my YouTube channel and the video - I will get this figured out sooner or later LOL.

So, this journal was a nice break from what has become my norm, 2 signature journals. It's a single sig, soft cover journal with 8 papers which make 32 pages (fronts and backs.) Like always, I leave a lot of open space to journal in, add pics or even to doodle in.

Please forgive my choice of backgrounds for my pictures! After I finished filming the flip thru I put my craft table back to normal and that includes my 2 cutting mats. So yes, I was a little too lazy to move all the stuff for pics.

My tag is actually wrong here, the FB group is really Junk Journal Junkies #1.

I get pretty much all my images from Pinterest. And the paperclips are plastic button that I have cut the shanks off of and glued to card stock paper punches or ribbon with bead dangles I made.

The ATC is from a swap I did yeeears ago. Not that most of my goodies are unpacked, I have decided to stop being a hoarder and use all the beautiful goodies!

My little cheeky anatomical heart ~

The queen herself!

A real doily I bought last summer while at en Estate Sale.

Another ATC, looove this one! Okay, so this is my little Valentine's Day Swap. She was put in the mail today for her new owner. I sure hope she likes it 1/2 as much as I enjoyed putting it all together. 😊 Until next time.

Office Fun

I remember working in an office - in a weird way I sorta miss working outside the home, but then again ~ 😄

I created this journal actually by accident at the end of last year. I was participating in a swap on Facebook and didn't read the directions as thoroughly as I should've (imagine that!) And almost any time I make a journal, I make two - one to swap and one to keep. So , needless to say, I ended up with two journals that only halfway meant the swap requirements! Oh well.

So, having more than what I need, I decided to put it up for a private swap in the group. She has found a new home and will be mailed out soon. Yeppie!

So, I always like to leave plenty of space for actually being able to use the journal. And in every journal I create I ad at least one tongue and cheek or silly element - it's just a must for me. I added these two stamped sayings to the very last page 'cuz it took a little longer to make than I figured.

Well, I am off to record a video of the most recent Valentine's Day swap journal I made and from here forward I will add only a few pics and have the video here on my blog =) ~
